1st Annual Pumpkin Festival!

Our first annual pumpkin festival was held today at our preschool. It was a HUGE success! We are so impressed and honored by the amount of community involvement we had, as well as the amount of people who visited our school. We started off our event with a visit from the fire station. One of our local Amherstburg fireman brought by a fire engine to show the children. Children were able to try on the suit that fire fighters wear in an emergency as well as get on the engine and take pictures. After our fire station visit, Miss Taylor one of our Co Op students brought by her horse Sonny! The children had an opportunity to ride Sonny and get their pictures taken. Special thanks to Miss Taylor and her family for allowing Sonny to come and visit us, he was a huge hit! At 1:30pm we had a special visit from Bella's Exotic Pets. They provided a wonderful exotic pet show for the children including snakes, spiders and lizards. What a creepy way to start off our Halloween Festivities. Our last event of the day was a visit from the Amherstburg Police. A police cruiser came by and children were able to get in the back seat of the cruiser, see the lights and hear the sirens. Thank you to both Amherstburg Police and Fire for taking the time to come to our event and make it even more enjoyable! The fun never stopped there! Along with all the special visitors, we also had a hay maze, games, haunted house, food and lot's of arts and crafts. It was a joy to walk through the school and see all the families engaging in various activities and having a great time!

Special thanks to Nicole Homick Photography who offered a free photo booth to all visitors. Everyone was very excited to get their pictures taken by the talented Ms. Nicole. :) Our staff cannot thank everyone enough! This event required a lot of time, effort and planning by our staff, but it was all well worth it! We had such a fun and exciting day, and we were so pleased to see the amount of people that came out to celebrate with us! It was wonderful to see the community involved with our event!

We look forward to next years Pumpkin Festival, let's make it bigger and better each year!! Thanks again to everyone!
