Word of the Week!

Each week we will be introducing a new high frequency word to the children, which we will call our "WOW word"(word of the week word). These words are used to increase your child's vocabulary and help them with self expression. Please try to use our WOW words at home as frequently as you can! Our words are specifically chosen to coincide with our theme, sound and concept of the week.
This week, our WOW word is "fantastic"! Our sound of the week is "f", and so we will also be using other high frequency words that begin with the letter f. Our theme of the week is "friendship" and so we will continue to focus on social graces and courtesy. We will be further discussing how to create and maintain friendships in order to strengthen this life skill. We will also be practicing sharing, working together  in groups and being kind to one another.
Today, we encouraged the children to tell the other children one fantastic thing about another friend. We certainly think friendship is fantastic, and we are very proud to see the way all of our students are interacting in such kind, friendly ways with one another.
