The children at Montessori Interactive Preschool participated in the celebrations of Chinese New Year on January 23, 2012 by creating Dragon's constructed from paper cutouts of their hand prints. We feel it is important here at Montessori to engage children in the various types of traditions that families within our community are celebrating. Completing the hand print dragons in honour of the Chinese New Year allowed the students of Montessori to share in the celebrations with art work that will be displayed within our classroom.
